FACE FOUNDATION ANNUAL REPORT - DEC 2016

It gives me great pleasure to present FACE foundation review for the year 2016.

As the process of formal charity registration of this foundation is not yet completed, this report does not contain a full structured review.

Our main emphasis and focus in the past 12 months has been to ensure our support for orphan kids and families in need have been most efficient and effective with highest impact by reviewing and refining our support approach. We have re-defined our strategy resulting in clear vision and mission statement leading to a new outlook for FACE foundation with a new logo. We have also spent a great deal of time designing our new website so we can reach out for all the charitable people in the world. We have been particularly successful in welcoming more new members to our group and agreed new style of payments for our permanent and supporting members.

Our main objective for the year continued to be empowering the lives of disadvantaged children and families in need. The strategies we used to deliver this objective included:

Providing better living standards and health for families in need

Covering educational needs for children in need

Supporting medical institutions caring for mentally and physically disabled children

Supporting projects benefiting the welfare of children in need

Our strategies fully reflect the purposes that the charity was set up to further. Our main approach to ensure that our work delivered our objective was to stay in touch and work directly and face to face with families in need and continually monitor their status. We are very proud indeed that, this is one of the core values making FACE foundation stand out. We have introduced our Welfare Group who is responsible for feasibility studies of cases and projects to support/conduct. The group exhaustively and continuously worked on new initiatives during 2016 and as we move into a new year we hope with their support we can even further deepen our impact. The Welfare group consists of 6 members from the exiting members of the organisation and they meet on monthly basis.

With 23 permanent and 4 supporting members, over the past 12 months we have managed to help over 40 families in need with orphan kids on monthly basis with their food, clothing, educational requirements and more importantly medical needs. Through our representatives, FACE foundation has managed to provide 600 mentally and physically disadvantaged children with their full range of medical services, requirements and treatments.  We have also successfully attracted number of sponsors to support a greater number of families in need and provide free school meals for remote primary schools.

Our project related support spans over a wide range.  From provision of specialized wheelchairs and blankets to delivery of much needed power generator to care for disabled children, and construction of sanitation services for primary schools in remote villages.

The difference our support has made and continues to make has been clearly noticed and reported. The kids and their families in need have been enjoying better health, pupils are more able to focus on their education and above all, they no longer go hungry at night.

As we have experienced an increased attention in the past 12 months resulting in an increased expansion of activities and fund raising, we have initiated formal registration of FACE foundation with Charity Commission.  The completion of this work is currently scheduled to be end of Q1/2017. Our main funds so far have come from our members, friends, colleagues and families. It is hoped and planned that once the formal registration of the charity is complete, apart from the funds currently contributed by members; our principal fundraising sources would be by means of grants and annual fund raising events.

We plan to continue and further expand our humanitarian activities in the forthcoming years by attracting more sponsors, better fundraising initiatives and improved working strategies.

I like to say a huge thank you to all our members, supporters and sponsors for their kind generosity and commitment enabling us to help 100s of Orphan kids and families in need.
