FACE FOUNDATION ANNUAL REPORT - DEC 2017

It gives me great pleasure to present FACE Foundation review for the year 2017.
FACE Foundation has managed to achieve great milestones in 2017. I am absolutely delighted to announce that our foundation is now recognised and operating as a registered charity in England and Wales. This has already lifted the platform on which we operate to a new height and opened a new horizon for us in terms of what we are set to achieve.
Our main objective for the year once again continued to be empowering the lives of disadvantaged children and families in need. The strategies we used to deliver this objective included:
  • Providing better living standards and health for families in need.
  • Covering educational needs for children in need.
  • Supporting medical institutions caring for mentally and physically disabled children.
  • Supporting projects benefiting the welfare of children in need.

Our strategies fully reflected the purposes that the charity was set up to further.
I am pleased to say that over 2,000 individuals have benefited directly from our short-term, one-off and continuous support. These include financial, educational and of course much needed medical support for those in need.
  • The number of people receiving our financial help has increased by %105. That is more than double compared to the previous year.
  • We have also witnessed an increase of 40% in terms of supporting those with educational needs.
  • In terms of medical support provided in 2017, we have enjoyed an increase of 75%.
We have attracted number of sponsors both nationally and overseas and we are hoping and working on attracting more sponsors to join us to sustain our ongoing support for good causes. All our sponsors wish to remain anonymous and we very much respect that wish.
We have also had several fundraising events this year and managed to raise considerable and attractive sums for FACE Foundation good causes. These included:

  • Ladies’ afternoon tea events, raising a total of £7,825.
  • Climbing Damavand mountain in northern Iran, raising a total of £4,100.
  • Cycling from London to Brighton event, raising a total of £7,170.
  • FACE Foundation Shab-e Yalda gala, raising a total of £15,417.
Our charity has also responded well to the tragic earthquake that took place in the west of Iran on 12th November 2017. A total of £5,155 was raised to help those effected by this tragic event.
Plans have been put in place for collaborated work/projects with other foundations and charities in UK to ensure even more international communities in need can benefit from our support.

Helping those in need is a clear demonstration of our faith.
